Development of Models and Algorithms for the Monitoring and Prognostics of Complex Systems - 2026_CDR_DMEC_1
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
09/IIND-03 - Industrial Design, Machine Construction And Metallurgy
Description
The project focuses on the development of advanced models and algorithms for the monitoring and prognostics of complex systems, characterized by high heterogeneity, nonlinear dynamics, and operational uncertainty. The main objective is to enhance the ability to promptly detect anomalies, assess the health state of systems, and predict their future evolution and remaining useful life. The proposed approach integrates physics-based and data-driven modeling techniques, including machine learning methods and statistical analysis, to effectively exploit data collected from sensors and acquisition systems. Particular attention is devoted to algorithm robustness, uncertainty management, and applicability in real-world scenarios. The expected outcomes support predictive maintenance strategies by reducing operational costs, failure risks, and downtime, while increasing the overall reliability of complex systems.
