Description
This doctoral program is aimed at preparing qualified scientists for the academy and professional arena working on current and future challenges of agricultural and forestry systems with a focus on environmental, economic and social sustainability of primary productions. The program will also address the global dimension of food security. With respect to agricultural and forestry productions, research opportunities include: - Sustainable intensification of production systems - Adaptation to climate change and resource constrained environments- Breeding, genetics and genomics - Protection and preservation of agricultural and forestry environments - Soil-plant interactions- Industrial and non-food crops, including ornamentals
