Scientific-Disciplinary Group
11 - History, Philosophy, Pedagogy And Psychology
Description
The PhD programme in Psychology, Pedagogy, Linguistics and Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral training project concerning four research areas. The first one studies psychology, in all its aspects, including the study of mental processes and their behavioural, cognitive, affective, relational and social manifestations. The second concerns pedagogy, applied to different contexts such as school, community, and cultural heritage according to a life-long learning perspective. The third area examines language in the multiplicity of approaches characterising contemporary research with particular attention to theoretical and applied linguistics, multilingualism and multiculturalism. The fourth research area studies gender dimensions in different domains to promote innovation, active citizenship and gender rights. These research areas are not distinct curricula but opportunities for interaction between disciplines interested in mental processes and social relationships.
