Description

The Parmigiano Reggiano supply chain, which represents one of Italy's most important dairy products and one of the most famous protected designation of origin (PDO) cheeses, is particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change. The LIFE23-CCA-IT-101156343 IMPROVING THE RESILIENCE OF PARMIGIANO REGGIANO SUPPLY CHAIN (IMAGE LIFE) project aims to extend the principles of resilient agriculture by creating a virtuous model from an environmental, social, and economic point of view for the production of "Parmigiano Reggiano", in particular by increasing the stability of the production of resilient crops as a source of cereals for animal feed (sorghum, millet, wheat, and sunflower).
