Description
Supply Chains today are exposed to multiple risks, including for example logistic disruption, supplier bankrupcy, cyberthreats, geopolitical distress, etc. Identifying, assessing, managing and monitoring such risks requires gathering and analysing multiple diverse sources of information with a high frequency and speed. Artificial Intelligence can contribute to improve the supply chain risk management capability of firms, but this is still a very new area of adoption which needs to be investigated further. The research program will analyze the capabilities and the functionalities of AI based solutions for supply chain risk management, their strengths and weaknesses, and the adoption process, to understand the potential benefits and the challenges. The research methods will include literature review, case studies and focus groups.
