Description
The project will concentrate on dark sectors, that is extensions of the SM below the electroweak scale with weak couplings to visible particles (therefore "dark"). These models are receiving great attention. The project will study the theoretical and phenomenological aspects, with emphasis on models that have a rich structure, with multiple particles and interactions, in the context of the ERC DarkSHunt project. Thanks to the presence of numerous particles and interactions, their phenomenology can differ significantly from that of minimal models and requires dedicated studies.The project will study the phenomenological aspects, focusing on typical signatures such as semivisible decays of dark photons and heavy neutral leptons, and will consider their search opportunities in ongoing neutrino and dark-sector experiments. It will compare the results with the sensitivities of present and future experiments also in collaboration with experimental groups.
