Description

The activity planned within this position will consist of analyzing the main biophysical parameters of eight selected mutations and evaluating the effects of several drugs currently used in the treatment of patients affected by SLC6A1-NDD. The project will investigate the basal function and pharmacological response of selected GAT1 variants under different ionic conditions, using electrophysiological approaches coupled with uptake analyses (using radiolabeled compounds, HPLC, or LC/MS) in Xenopus laevis oocytes and cell lines expressing the mutant transporters. The expression and localization of the variants will also be evaluated both in oocytes and in cell lines using immunochemical and cell biology approaches appropriate to the different experimental models used.Term of contract 12 months – Amount of the research appointment (gross salary) € 22.500,00 https://www.uninsubria.eu/work-and-study-us
