Description
This project aims to functionally characterize the maize ABCG transporter ZmWBC33 and to elucidate its role instrigolactone-mediatedplant responses to environmental stress. Using Arabidopsis thaliana as a heterologous modelsystem, transgenic lines expressingZmWBC33 will be analyzed under controlled conditions to assess theirdevelopmental and molecular responses to exogenousstrigolactones, nutrient availability, and water stress. The study will combine phenotypic analyses of root and shoot architecture withtargeted gene expression profiling andtranscriptomic approaches (RNA-seq), providing an integrated view of ZmWBC33-dependentregulatory pathways.
