The post-doc will investigate behavioral and choice architecture interventions to enhance theimpact of true pricing, including informational nudges that provide clear labeling of prices alongside environmental, health, and animal welfare benefits to support informed consumer decisions; green defaults, such as making plantbased meals the default in restaurants and canteens while preserving choice; and product placement strategies, like positioning plant-based alternatives alongside meat in supermarkets. The research will proceed in three phases: qualitative studies to explore stakeholder values, norms, and beliefs regarding beef and true pricing; online choice experiments testing different informational framings on consumer food choices; and field experiments integrating effective cues with structural nudges in real-world supermarket settings.
