Description

The project focuses on the development and application of biotechnological processes and systems for the recovery of nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus) and carbon compounds, particularly volatile fatty acids (VFAs) from anaerobic digestate, using membrane-based technologies. The recovered nutrients will be further valorized through mixed and/or pure microbial cultures to produce high-value bio-based products such as polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) and microbial proteins, within a circular economy framework.

The competition will be carried out by an evaluation of titles and examination by means of an interview. For admission to the selection process referred to in Art. 1, potential candidates must fulfil the following requirements: a) PhD title in technical-scientific disciplines relevant to the proposed research program;b) Possession of a scientific-disciplinary curriculum suitable for carrying out the research activity envisaged in this announcement;c) Knowledge of the following foreign language: English;d) Other requirements: documented research and/or development experience in the disciplinary sector: ICHI-02/A Chemical Plants.
