“TAiloring and designing of SmarT conductive carbon-based Inks for Edible catalytic amperometric biosensors” (TASTE)
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
03/CHEM-01 - Analytical, Enviromental And Cultural Heritage Chemistry
Description
The post-doctoral researcher will be involved in the development of conductive carbon-based inks derived from biomass valorisation for the fabrication of electrochemical platforms aimed at enzymatic biosensing. The research activity will focus on the preparation of biochar from selected biomass residues through controlled pyrolysis and/or activation processes, followed by electrochemical and morphological characterization of the resulting carbonaceous materials. The researcher will contribute to the formulation of water-based conductive inks containing biomass-derived biochar, biocompatible binders and stabilising agents, with the aim of obtaining reproducible conductive films suitable for printed or miniaturised electrochemical devices.
