Scientific-Disciplinary Group
10/PEMM-01 - Performing Arts, Music, Film And Media
Description
The project investigates the transformations of contemporary serial formats through the analysis of the true crime genre, regarded as a privileged lens for understanding processes of adaptation across traditional media, digital platforms, and participatory environments. It examines the dynamics of the production, circulation, and consumption of serial content, highlighting the genre's plasticity and its capacity to be reconfigured across different media contexts, including television, podcasts, and social media. Adopting a comparative and interdisciplinary approach that integrates television studies, production studies, and narratology, the project explores the relationships between narrative forms, production models, and consumption practices, taking into account both the specificities of the Italian context and the international dimension. The project ultimately aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the evolution of contemporary seriality
