Description
The main aim of this project is to clarify the role of the gut microbiota in the progression of chronic liver diseases of metabolic origin. In particular, it investigates how dysmetabolic comorbidities influence hepatic inflammation and fibrosis. The study includes the systematic collection of clinical data and the assessment of inflammatory markers (e.g., TNF-a, IL-6) and fibrosis biomarkers (e.g., hyaluronic acid, procollagen Ill).
