Development of an endoscopic device that seamlessly integrates optical biopsy and coldatmospheric plasma treatment.This dual-function device leverages the spatial-temporal control of powerful light inmultimodal fibers. It leverages significant advances in the development of next-generationoptical fibers and the precise control of light within multimodal guides, allowing the power ofplasma, the fourth state of matter, to be harnessed. Initially, the focus will be ongastrointestinal endoscopy, but the ultimate goal is to extend this technology to areas ofmedical diagnostics where there is an urgent need for reliable tools for optical biopsy andinstantaneous examination. Combining plasma therapy with optical biopsy not only providesa real-time diagnosis but also offers immediate therapeutic intervention.
