Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna - Analysis of Life Course Trajectories and Ageing through Integrated Data and Advanced Methods

The research project aims to analyse individual life trajectories shaped by personal experiences and geographical and socioeconomic contexts that influence well-being, health, and ageing. Using data from multiple sources, including large-scale surveys and administrative databases, the project will apply advanced statistical and econometric methods to investigate, through a multidimensional approach, key aspects of life and ageing such as chronic conditions, formal and informal care needs, social capital, and support networks. Particular attention will be devoted to analysing individuals' needs and preferences and to evaluating the impact of public policies. The evidence generated by the project will support policymakers in adopting evidence-based decisions. The research will be conducted within the interdisciplinary environment of the L'EMbeDS Department of Excellence, integrating statistical theory and computational methods to address complex societal challenges.
