Comparative evaluation procedure for n. 1 research contract - Department of Physics and Astronomy “Augusto Righi”

Title of the project: “Study of tribological processes at interfaces of technological interest” - The research activity will focus on the computational investigation of tribological processes, with particular emphasis on tribochemical phenomena. The research will involve the application of ab initio molecular dynamics simulations and molecular dynamics simulations based on machine learning interatomic potentials, with the aim of elucidating the atomistic mechanisms governing friction and wear processes. The candidate may be involved in complementary research activities carried out using experimental techniques.
