This research programme examines the impact of ew digital communication technologies on electoral processes and the functioning of representative institutions across European legal systems.It focuses on the role of digital platforms, social media, and artificial intelligence in shaping public opinion, influencing electoral campaigns, and transforming political competition, assessing their effects on the freedom and equality of the vote, media pluralism, and the quality of democraticrepresentation.
