The contract holder will carry out research and development activities focused on the design of innovative antennas and phased antenna arrays operating in various frequency ranges typical of SATCOM applications (S, K, and Ka bands). The scientific activity will be primarily oriented toward integrating structural flexibility and conformability properties while ensuring the maintenance of overall electromagnetic performance. To achieve this goal, the research must be founded on a rigorous theoretical study of electromagnetism, which is necessary to analytically evaluate the impact of geometric variations on the radiative properties of individual antennas, impedance variations, and mutual coupling phenomena within the array.
