BRICKS is a Horizon project exploring how place-based social entrepreneurship can support the co-creation of sustainable, inclusive, and high-quality neighbourhoods in line with New European Bauhaus values. Through five pilot cities, it will test business models for neighbourhood transformation using participatory design, socio-economic assessment, entrepreneurial practices, and civic engagement. The project will produce scientific evidence, policy recommendations, and scalable models to attract investment and strengthen local innovation ecosystems. The research will focus on assessing local sustainability, climate adaptation, and resilience initiatives. The successful candidate will review assessment approaches, analyse business and financing models, identify financial instruments for local adaptation measures, and collect and analyse relevant data and indicators.
