HE Solindarity – CUP: D37G24000040006
The candidate will be required to support research activities relating to the study, development and experimental demonstration of high-temperature heat pump systems based on reverse Brayton cycles or alternative solutions, which are in any case capable of reaching 200°C for industrial heating applications. The work involves both the thermo-economic analysis and optimisation of the cycle, its optimal time-varying control, and the definition of the design parameters and selection of components for any demonstration prototypes. The contract is linked to the SOLINDARITY research project – “SOLar-driven INDustrial power And heat upgRaded with hIgh-temperature heaT pumps for enhanced integrated process efficiencY” – which focuses on the development and demonstration, on a significant scale, of innovative processes for high-temperature heat pumps for thermal recovery and the integration of solar energy into industrial processes.
