Development and characterization of energetic charges for T4D (Thermite-for-Demise) technology - 2026_IDR_DAER_8

The program aims to create and characterize energetic charges specifically designed to support the destruction of satellites during their atmospheric reentry phase, after the end of their operational lifetime. The first part of the work will focus on producing solid thermite samples using proprietary methodologies developed within the THREAD project (thermite reactions assisting satellite demise). After the charges have undergone aging in representative environment by external laboratories affiliated with the project, the program will involve their characterization, as well as the identification and documentation of signs of degradation.
