Nature, biodiversity, and finance: risks, opportunities, and strategies for financial and non-financial companies.
The project aims to investigate the relationship between nature and finance on a global scale, with particular emphasis on the role of financial intermediaries and non-financial firms in managing nature- and biodiversity-related risks and opportunities. The research will examine how banks, institutional investors, and corporations integrate nature-related factors into their decision-making processes, investment strategies, governance frameworks, and sustainability policies. Furthermore, the project seeks to identify the main channels through which firms' dependencies and impacts on ecosystems influence their financial performance, risk profile, access to capital, and investors' decisions. The research activities will also be carried out in collaboration with international research institutions and research groups, fostering the exchange of expertise and knowledge.

Mandatory requirement for admission to the selection: italian Laurea Magistrale, or Laurea a Ciclo Unico, or an equivalent degree from foreign Universities, obtained no more than 6 years prior to the application deadline (i.e obtained after 13/10/2020).
