Safe and Sustainable by Design through AI application

The research assistant will support the analysis of existing LCA, SSbD methodologies and relevant European regulatory requirements for innovative products and materials. The activity will include mapping industrial needs, barriers to LCA adoption and available company data sources, supporting UNIBO in defining methodological requirements. The researcher will contribute to the development of the BLESS framework by analysing approaches for circularity assessment, critical raw materials, planetary boundaries, safety–sustainability integration and social sustainability aspects. The activity will focus on supporting the initial design and development of a digital system, with particular reference to the SLAT tool within the BLESS project and to interoperable modules based on data, automation and artificial intelligence. The research assistant will contribute to defining the system functionalities, establishing and verifying requirements, and preparing testing procedures.
