Development of a computational model aimed at studying tumor evolution, with the aim of distinguishing between favorable and unfavorable outcomes.
Development of a computational model based on branching processes (e.g., Galton-Watson, birth-death) to describe tumor evolution. Cells can replicate or die and, during replication, acquire driver (advantageous) or passenger (neutral) mutations, which are considered sequential and irreversible. Each subpopulation is defined by its own genomic profile and follows precise evolutionary dynamics. Definition and calibration of parameters, including growth rates and mutation acquisition, dependent on the genomic profile. Parameters are also estimated from diagnostic data to infer relationships between genomic events.Simulation of personalized tumor evolutionary trajectories, from its origin to diagnosis and beyond, to reconstruct the history of the disease and evaluate potential therapeutic scenarios.

Mandatory requirement for admission to the selection: italian Laurea Magistrale, or Laurea a Ciclo Unico, or an equivalent degree from foreign Universities, obtained no more than 6 years prior to the application deadline (i.e obtained after 13/10/2020).
