Sviluppo di processi di trattamento e valorizzazione di acque reflue e fanghi di depurazione, finalizzati alla rimozione di microinquinanti ed all’estrazione di fosforo da ceneri di incenerimento fanghi
The project aims to develop processes for treating and valorizing wastewater and sewage sludge, with two main objectives: removing micropollutants through adsorption and extracting phosphorus from incineration ashes. For adsorption, the work focuses on identifying effective materials to remove pharmaceuticals and PFAS, optimizing operating conditions (bed height, contact time, velocity, temperature), and developing a model to simulate the continuous process. For phosphorus recovery, the study investigates acid extraction from ashes using hydrochloric and sulfuric acid, optimizing parameters such as concentration and contact time. The process includes batch tests, separation and acid enrichment, followed by the selection of ion-exchange materials for phosphate recovery. The best materials will be tested in continuous mode, and regenerated acids will be reused for further extraction.
